Wide Posture Control Walkers

These are wider/deeper versions of our larger “b-frame” or standard posture control walkers.

Designed for users who wear leg braces and, as a result, need more room inside the walker.

All walker models fold, for easier storage and transportation.
Available in 3 sizes, fitting pre-adolescents to shorter adults.

Swivel Limiters

The WSL-1 limits the amount that the swivel wheel can turn. The Kaye Swivel Limiters, model WSL-1 can be added to limit swivel travel on any Kaye Posture Control or PostureRest Walker with swivel wheels or any Kaye Anterior Chest Support Walker. Without the swivel limiter, the swivel wheels can swivel 360 degrees. Adding the WSL-1 limits the amount of swivel for users who cannot manage free swiveling.

Forearm Supports

Forearm Supports for Posture Control Walker, Posture Rest Walkers-with seat, and Red Walker.

For users who:
need additional shoulder girdle support
or cannot extend their arms and sustain grasp while taking weight on their arms.

NEW AVAILABLE ACCESSORY: The Kaye Forearm Support Strap (FST) is a new accessory designed for use with Kaye Forearm Support Models FSS, FSM and FSA.

Pelvic Stabilizers

Aid alignment and symmetry.
Appropriate for users who have difficulty staying centered in walkers.
Fit all current Kaye Posture Control Walkers, PostureRest Walkers and Red Walkers.
Can combine with Extensor Assist Center Pads.

To attach these to older walkers, you will have to drill two holes in the walkers. The instructions detail this procedure.

Cushion height for all three models: 3.5″.
Cushion length for all three models: 5.75″.

Extensor Assist Center Pads

Help assist hip extension and align the pelvis in the frontal plane.
Fit all current Kaye Posture Control Walkers and PostureRest Walkers with seats.
Combine with pelvic stabilizers side cushions or Kaye Extensor Assist Belt.
To attach these to older walkers, you will have to drill two holes in the walkers. The instructions detail this procedure.

Extensor Assist Belt

The Kaye Extensor Assist Belt assists with the maintenance of alignment between the user’s hips and feet while in a Kaye Walker/Gait Trainer. The belt can be easily adjusted and is opened and closed with buckles.

The belt is made of durable nylon and will fit any size Kaye Walker/Gait Trainer equipped with an Extensor Assist Pad (EA2 or EA3). Attachment takes only seconds using a Phillips head screwdriver.

“All-Terrain” Wheels

Fit most Kaye Posture Control Walkers and PostureRest Walkers with seats, as listed in the accompanying chart.

Include replacement legs with larger wheels to facilitate using walkers outdoors.
Front wheels are 8″ diameter and 1.25″ wide.
Rear wheels are 5″ diameter and 1″ wide.
Rear wheels include external ratchets to prevent them from rolling backwards.
Will add 1″ to the overall height of the walker.
Installation required.

Guide Handles

The guide handles attach to the rear of the smaller Kaye Posture Control Walkers that are listed in the chart below.

Guide handles assist caregivers by allowing them to guide the walkers without their having to continuously bend over to grasp the walker.

Silent Rear Wheels

Available as an option the walker models listed in the accompanying chart.

Includes leg extensions.
5″ diameter wheels with soft, rubber tread.
Silent, internal, one-way bearings.
Retrofits existing walkers.

Suspension Conversion Kits

These attach to existing B-series Kaye Posture Control Walkers and allow the walkers to function as “partial weight bearing” or suspension walkers.

Easily removable to allow the walkers to be used independently.
The walkers can fold with the suspension kits attached, to facilitate storage and transportation.
The narrower width of these units allows greater maneuverability indoors, but in order to fit over a treadmill, it will be necessary to place the walker on the Treadmill Width Adapter
Available in 4 sizes, for toddlers through smaller adults, as shown in the chart to the lower left.
Four harness sizes are available but sold separately. For harness details, refer to the chart to the lower right.

Walker Leg Abductor

LA-1, LA-2, LA-3, LA-4

The Leg Abductor prevents scissoring or excessive leg adduction during walking and standing. Using the abductor during gait training will improve the client’s base of support and alignment while encouraging them to use more refined movement strategies during stepping. The abductor will fit any “B” frame Posture Control Walker and can be easily added or removed based on the child’s needs and therapy goals. The abductor can also be used with a suspension kit, but can not be used with an Add-A-Seat.
